For Official State Use Only
Standard State of Vermont Stationery is for use by State personnel only and may be used for memo documents, letters to the public, form letters and internal notes and other similar state business communications.
General Guidelines
The Coat of Arms and Moon Over Mountains logo must both appear on State letterhead, unless an approved agency or department logo is used. Approved agency or department logos shall appear in the lower right and the Moon Over Mountains logo in the top left.
All department and division letterhead require an agency affiliation. If a mailing address includes an agency name, do not repeat the name in upper right hand corner. If you work directly for an agency or department, list the State of Vermont and your agency/department name in bold on top of the address.
If your organization is not affiliated with an agency or department (i.e. Boards, Commissions, Councils, etc.) list the State of Vermont and your organization name in bold on top of the address.
If there is no affiliation with an agency or department, leave the top right corner blank. Up to four phone numbers can be listed, with the primary listed first. Other numbers may include fax, cell, toll free, tdd, home, or emergency. Lowercase is preferred for URLs, but they may use title caps.
A mission statement may be added below the horizontal rule at the bottom of the page. If a window envelope is used and a line is needed in the address space, the website may be printed below the horizontal rule.
