Custom Solutions
In some cases, the SOV Web Design System and Web Template may not be an adequate solution for the digital needs of a particular agency, department or program. If you need to build a custom site, talk with the Director of Web Services for guidance and to request permission. If you receive permission to develop a custom site, be sure to incorporate the Header Region details outlined on the State of Vermont (SOV) Web Template Regions page into the custom site, at a minimum, to ensure it aligns with State branding.
Are you working with a contractor on website or web application development?
Before you initiate work on a website project with an outside vendor, include a link to the State of Vermont Web Design System in the Statement of Work. Adherence to these requirements should be part of the performance measures for these contractors.
