Marketing Resources, Tools and Services
For those agencies, departments, or programs where marketing plays a role in accomplishing their objectives and goals, marketing specific resources, tools, and services are necessary. These are offered to support state marketers and the effort to increase consistency, effectiveness, and efficiency in state marketing.
Marketing Planning
Planning is a necessary component to successful marketing initiatives. A comprehensive marketing plan will clearly define your objective, identify the target audience, articulate your messages and suggest how your messages will be distributed.
Media Resources
Media is used to distribute your marketing message. There are a number of options ranging from no cost - such as earned media/press coverage, social media, and public relations - to higher cost, such as broadcast media, including television and radio.
Photography and Logos
The Chief Marketing Officer maintains a library of state owned and licensed photography and state logos. The state's photography library contains over 2,000 licensed images and over 3,000 state-owned images.
Trade Show Materials
The Chief Marketing Officer has tradeshow materials available for use by state entities for tradeshow events and exhibits.
Design Services
In support of our goals for brand consistency and supporting marketing activity, we provide in-house design services to state agencies, departments, and programs. Basic technical support and design guidance are provided to all state entities as part of our fundamental support role.
Other State Services
The Chief Marketing Officer partners with a number of state departments who help support statewide marketing efforts including printing, distribution, promotion, mapping, and website development.
Marketing Research
State organizations conduct research on a regular basis to support development and improvements to the services and products we provide. The data that is collected is often used to create marketing and communication strategies and plans.
