The Chief Marketing Officer oversees contracting for marketing services for all state agencies and departments.  The information presented here applies to marketing contracts.  Contracting rules and policies may vary for other types of services used by state government.

Becoming an Approved Marketing Vendor

Approved – or prequalified - marketing vendors may bid and contract with state entities through the state’s standard contract procedures.  Prequalification is required to bid and contract for marketing services with the state.

How to Work with the State of Vermont

If you are a business that provides marketing services – such as graphic design, copywriting, media planning/buying, public relations, or strategy and concept development – and you are interested in working with the state you must become prequalified with the Chief Marketing Officer. Click here for details on becoming prequalified, or an approved vendor, for state marketing contracts.

Contracting opportunities are posted on-line by the Office of Purchasing and Contracting (within the Department of Buildings and General Services) and by the Department of Economic, Housing and Community Development.
