Contracting for State Marketing Services
The Chief Marketing Officer oversees contracting of marketing services by state agencies and departments. In addition to following the state's standard contracting procedures, the CMO maintains a list of approved, or prequalified vendors, and has established statewide contracts that allow immediate access to a variety of marketing services.
Prior to issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) or contracting with a marketing vendor, it is recommended that you contact the CMO to discuss your marketing needs. It is possible that a contract already exists to support your needs. If not, the CMO can help you with the development of your RFP or vendor search.
IMPORTANT: Bulletin 3.5 requires that the Chief Marketing Officer approve marketing contracts over $15,000.
Prequalified Vendors
The CMO’s office maintains a list of prequalified marketing vendors for state marketing contracts. Marketing vendors desiring to provide marketing services to state entities must be prequalified.
Contracted Photographers
Master contracts between the state and selected photographers have been established to provide quick access to proven service providers. These professional photographers can be used to cover a state sponsored event, create headshots, fulfill desired image lists for marketing campaigns or stock use, or set-up and photograph persons or products in specific environments.
Contracted Marketing Firms
Master contracts between the state and selected marketing firms have been established to provide quick access to proven service providers. These contracts allow you to obtain marketing services without having to go through a full RFP process.
